Weekend, music, wine and good conversation

It's the weekend, baby! Checking out of work-mode, checking in to the weekend. A great week, with lots getting done, and including - between business trips and client visits - popping in to 3 charity shops and one private seller. Since yesterday I have bought 38 LPs (now listening to Billy Joel's absolutely fab The Stranger (in like-new condition)) and one very nice MOR turntable. The LPs were almost all R2 each, but I did pay R50 for a copy of Keith Jarrett's Köln Concert (2LP). And my latest restoration project (Pioneer PL12R) is "in the store"! ‪#‎weekend‬ ‪#‎vinyl‬‪#‎workhardplayhard‬

This is my add:

"I am selling a fully serviced Pioneer PL12R belt-drive turntable. This iconic record player has been stripped and cleaned, oiled, greased and all functions adjusted, a new belt fitted, a new stylus fitted to the excellent Excel ES70S cartridge, new rubber feet fitted and new good quality RCA connectors fitted. All function work 100% and the deck runs on speed.
The plinth shows some signs of wear (7/10) but the top-plate, platter and arm are perfect (10/10) and the lid has no cracks and virtually no scratches with 100% working hinges (9/10).
If you are getting back into vinyl, this turntable will make your LPs sound their best! Come and listen to it - bring your own LP if you want - and see if you like it.
By the way, this suspended chassis classic turntable was designed by Hi Fi guru, Ken Ishiwata. It is simple, robust, beautiful and sounds like a table twice its price!"
That's all Folks!
